State President Truong Tan Sang has paid his compliments and best wishes to all Vietnamese compatriots and foreign nationals living and working in Viet Nam on the occasion of the country’s traditional Lunar New Year.

In the New Year’s Eve, considered as a sacred movement Vietnamese people, he called on the whole nation to respectfully commemorate generations of predecessors who built and defended the Fatherland as well as President Ho Chi Minh, national heroes, and martyrs who have sacrificed their life for national independence, freedom, unity, and territorial integrity of the Fatherland.

In 2015, the whole people were unanimously united to surmount numerous difficulties and challenges to foster socio-economic and cultural development, protect the Fatherland, maintain a peaceful and stable environment for development, and accelerate international integration, which took the country to a new development stage with bright opportunities.

In the era of globalization and international integration, State President Sang stressed that “we have many things to do to build a wealthy and strong country and firmly defend the Fatherland.”

As 2016 is the first year Viet Nam implements the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress, he called on all Vietnamese people to continue efforts, uphold brainpower and stuff, and grasp opportunities to attain greater achievements in the common cause of national construction and defense.
