PM urges for administrative reform in taxes, social insurance

He required realizing administrative reform conclusively and fulfilling tasks and goals set for administrative reform in taxes and social insurance.

The PM also asked for close, synchronous and effective coordination between the relevant agencies as well as boosting up the information technology application in State management, modernizing the administrative sector and heading to establish e-Government.

He proposed the Ministry of Information and Communications and press agencies to popularize the administrative reform, guidelines, policies and regulations to all the people to improve the investment environment.

The time required to pay taxes was cut by 370 hours as of January 1 this year, thanks to the ministry’s coordination with commercial banks to implement e-tax payment services.

As of March 25 this year, more than 97.5% of active businesses had filed their taxes with e-services and as many as 40,490 businesses from 18 of 63 cities and provinces nationwide registered to pay through e-taxes.

The Viet Nam Social Insurance strives to cut the time required to complete social insurance paperwork to 49.5 hours from 335 hours, in line with time required in theASEAN-6 countries (including Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Brunei).
