PM: Gov’t pledges to be attentive to foreign investors

PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc said Vietnamese Government is ready to be attentive and responds to every question of foreign investors for ultimate goal of improving business environment.

He made the statement at reception for a delegation of foreign investors led by Nirukt Sapru, Standard Chartered’s CEO in Viet Nam and ASEAN and South Asia Cluster Markets, in Ha Noi on September 14.

PM Phuc affirmed the Government is consistent with macro-economic stability and inflation control while accelerating growth, private sector and infrastructure development, and institutional building.

As Viet Nam is stepping up the process of SOEs equitization, PM Phuc expects foreign investors to pay attention to this area.

On behalf of the delegation, Nirukt Sapru said the delegations included representatives of world’s top businesses who came to Viet Nam to attend an annual conference of global investors.

He said foreign investors see Viet Nam as a dynamic and potential market and the conference would provide them a good opportunity to have better overview of Viet Nam’s economic development orientations.

He also said Standard Chartered spoke highly of the Vietnamese Government’s efforts in improving business environment and luring foreign direct investment.
