PM Dung meets with Lao President

PM Nguyen Tan Dung on November 25 met with President Choummaly Sayasone of Laos on the sidelines of the eighth Cambodia-Laos-Viet Nam (CLV) Development Triangle Summit.

The host leader warmly welcomed the attendance of PM Dung and the Vietnamese delegation at the 8th CLV Summit, saying it contributed to the successful organization of the event and the better ties between Viet Nam and Laos.

Mr. Choummaly Sayasone also expressed his pleasure to witness the development in the bilateral ties especially in the areas of economics, trade and investment.

For his part, PM Dung congratulated the great achievements of Laos under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and wished for the success of the 10th Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.

The two leaders agreed to direct respective ministries, agencies and localities to implement the agreements reached by top leaders of Viet Nam and Laos and the outcomes of the 36th conference of the Viet Nam-Laos Inter-Governmental Committee and prepare for the 37th conference scheduled in early 2015.

The also agreed to speed up progress of joint projects on ODA, culture, education-training, science and technology and pledged to create favorable ways for businesses.

After that, PM Dung and his entourage left Vientiane for Ha Noi home after successfully attending the Summit in Laos.
