The project, sponsored by the Japanese Government through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund, will be carried out within 25 months.
With a total non-refundable aid of nearly US$4 million, the project aims to promote the socio-economic development and guarantee social security and safety.
Besides, it will clear bombs, mines and explosives on an area of 2,550 ha at 12 communes in three districts of the province.
About 6 million hectares of land across the country have still been contaminated with around 800,000 tones of unexploded ordnance, requiring at least 300 years to become cultivable.
