Piaggio gets a move on

Italian scooter maker Piaggio has appointed Phibious as the lead brand agency for Piaggio Vietnam Co Ltd.Accordingly, Phibious will be charged with brand positioning, strategic planning and integrated creative duties for the Piaggio premium scooter brand portfolio, which includes Vespa, Liberty, Zip and Fly.

In June 2009, Piaggio Vietnam officially opened a factory in Vietnam and launched Vespa LX 125 producing in Vietnam.

With investment of up to $30 million, Piaggio Vietnam’s factory completed more than one year after starting construction and produced more than 100,000 scooters a year with the maximum operational capacity.

On October 2, 2009, Piaggio Vietnam finished the Piaggio Vespa LX No. 10,000, marking an important milestone for the company.

Phibious is an independent, creative-led brand agency growing fast with over 80 individuals across offices in Vietnam, Cambodia and an association in Laos.
