Open day at British University Vietnam launched

British University Vietnam yesterday organised its Open Day 2014 on the university campus, 193 Ba Trieu Street in Hanoi capital.

The annual event aims to provide parents and students with information on the UK programmes, specifically focusing on consultation, career orientation, skills set training and internship programmes for first year students.

It also covers recruitment criteria, tuition fee as well as full and partial scholarship programmes.

Established in 2009,BUV is a successful educational cooperation between Vietnam and UK.

“British University Vietnam has been developing and affirming its reputation not only in higher education but also in developing high-qualified knowledge capital for Vietnamese top entrepreneurs,” said Khalid Muhmood, co-founder of BUV.

Chris Jeffery, dean of British University Vietnam said “At British University Vietnam, students are provided with an UK educational environment; additionally, they are equipped with comprehensive foundation including skills sets and work experience to become the most desired candidates by top employers.”

During the OPEN DAY, students got chances to register for sample classes, personality tests, discuss and share with top managers of Vietnamese enterprises on career orientation and future preparation.

Being considered as the best choice for students to study Business and Finance in Vietnam, British University Vietnam provides various economic programmes: instantly, International Business Management, Marketing Management, Accounting and Finance, Accounting and Business.

According to Tangjie Ward, director of global educational development at University of London International programme: “Students studying at BUV will be provided with the same programme and degree as British students as well as other international students studying in UK. However, the tuition fee is cheaper than studying abroad.”

On participating in the event, students had an opportunity to experience students’ life through a range of activities such as joining Volunteer club, Dance club, London corner and more.
