Hong Kong entrepreneurs eye Vietnamese rice market
A delegation from the Hong Kong rice traders association will conduct a survey in the southern province of Kien Giang as from March 1, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The survey aims to help Hong Kong businessmen build their strategies and plans to import rice from Vietnam.
Hong Kong (China) is a major importer of high-quality jasmine rice. Over the years, Vietnam’s jasmine rice has attracted key importers in the US, Europe, Australia, China and some other countries in the Middle East.
