Top chief security officers in ASEAN
Nine out of 14 most outstanding chief security officers (CSO) in ASEAN in 2010 are Vietnamese.

Five chief security officers (CSO) winners left include two from Singapore, one from Malaysia, one from Thailand and one from Cambodia, who were voted by the board of CSO ASEAN Conference and Awards 2010 on December 9.
Amongst 14 CSO winners, three were from state bodies and 11 winners from enterprises groups, of whom four candidates from the banking sector, three from information and technology, two from the communications sector, one from electronics sector and one from security industry.
The CSO ASEAN conference and Awards 2010 is the second organised by International Data Group (IDG), Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam Computer Emergency Respond Team (VNCERT), aiming to seek and honour the most outstanding CSO in the ASEAN region, as well as connect regional information and technology community.
The winners of CSO ASEAN 2010 were voted by a board of judges with 12 veterans in security information industry and a board of advisors with many prestigious experts from regional and international countries.
The evaluation criterion emphasises on the leadership and the influence of CSOs on community apart from their technical knowledge, especially CSO Awards highly appreciates the pioneers and the state-of-art solutions in information security field.
Vietnamese winners include deputy director of information technology department Vietnam State Treasury Nguyen Tien Dung, chief technology officer of Mat Bao Company Limited Pham Kim Ngan, vice director of Asia Commercial Bank information technology centre Pham Viet Tan, deputy general director of LienVietBank Nghiem Sy Thang, manager of information system security department of Vietnam joint stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade Nguyen The Thinh, head of information technology security of H49 Department of Ministry of Public Security colonel Le Van Toan, director of B42 Department of Ministry of Public Security colonel Le Danh Cuong, director of information technology infrastructure centre of VNDirect Securities company Ha Van Tu and director of Information Technology Centre of An Binh Bank Du Xuan Vu.
