Hai Duong fosters cooperation with Japanese city
The People’s Committee of the northern province of Hai Duong on January 14 hosted talks with leaders of Japan ’s Kumatomo city.

Three businesses of Kumatomo are operating three investment projects in Hai Duong, out of a total 38 Japanese- invested projects in the province.
At the talks, Bui Thanh Quyen, Secretary of Hai Duong Party Central Committee said the visit of the delegation from Kumatomo city marked a new development in the relationship between the two localities.
Quyen expressed his hope for more assistance and cooperation from Kumatomo city in agriculture and rural development, affirming that Hai Duong will create favourable conditions for businesses from the city as well as from Japan to invest in the province.
Mayor of Kumatomo city Koyama Seishi thanked the people of Vietnam and Hai Duong province for their precious aid in March 11 earthquake and tsunami. He said, Kumatomo city with its strengths in agriculture, fishery, electronics, semi-conductor industry and tourism, is willing to share experience with Hai Duong. The city will carry out surveys and investment activities in the province in both industry and agriculture.
