The apartments, which overlooks the Saigon River, will be sold to affluent Vietnamese and Viet Kieu and leased to foreigners.
The company last week completed a housing gallery with samples of two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments for interested buyers to visit before making a final decision. Bitexco director Moon Kyoo Kim indicated the price of these apartments would be almost triple that of other housing complexes.
“A lot of potential buyers have shown their interest to own an apartment here,” he said however.
“Design and construction would be carried by an international team from the US, South Korea and the Philippines,” he said.
The apartment complex has found the first buyers, two of whom are famous architect Ho Thieu Tri and Do Thi Hai Yen who featured Phuong in the film “Quiet American.” It is one of the biggest of its kind under construction near Ho Chi Minh City’s downtown area.
Most other residential complexes like Phu My Hung are in the suburban districts.
