The consortium, which also involves Japan's Mitsubishi and Finland's diesel-engine maker Wartsila, will build a 600-megawatt plant for Jordan's National Electric Power, KEPCO said in a statement, released on Tuesday.
The Korean firm said it would hold a 60 per cent stake in the project, with Mitsubishi having 35 per cent and Wartsila five per cent.
The consortium aims to complete construction by 2014 and operate the plant for 25 years after completion, it said, adding KEPCO would invest about $120 million in the project.
