Microsoft and VietnamPlus launch MSN Vietnam

Today, Microsoft and VietnamPlus online newspaper - a member of the Vietnam News Agency, announced the launch of MSN in Vietnamese, following the official roll-out of the new MSN in over 50 countries across the world.

In line with Microsoft’s global strategy to reimagine MSN for a mobile-first, cloud-first world, MSN is designed to preliminarily provide mobile and cloud services. In Vietnam, with the support of strategic partner VietnamPlus online newspaper, the Vietnamese version of MSN collects premium content from Vietnam’s leading media outlets with productivity tools that empower people to do more.

“Since its inception, MSN has been one of the leading sources of news and entertainment content for people all over the world. With the launch of the new MSN, a tool which is compatible with the modern ‘Mobile First, Cloud First’ trend, particularly the Vietnamese version launching, MSN will deliver better, more modern experiences for Vietnamese readers,” said Vu Minh Tri, general director of Microsoft Vietnam. “It is assured that MSN Vietnam will be an information page to help us entertain, work, optimise flows of information in personal interest anywhere, anytime in the time-strapped world of today.”

Starting from the launching, users in Vietnam can experience the new MSN via web browser and mobile at www.msn.com/vi-vn. The new MSN experience will soon extend to mobile apps across all major device platforms, including Windows, iOS and Android.

The new MSN brings together over 1,000 of the best and most authoritative content sources from around the world – such as The New York Times (US), The Guardian (UK), The Telegraph (UK), MediaCorp, Yomiuri Shimbun (Japan), Asahi Shimbun (Japan), PCCW Media (Hong Kong), CommonWealth Magazine Group (Taiwan), AFP, Reuters, Bloomberg, and BBC… In Vietnam, MSN tends to collect premium information from such prestigious and reputable newspapers as Tuoitre (The Youth), Lao dong (Labour), VietnamPlus, VTC and continuously expend partnership with the country’s leading media, suppliers, and publishers.
