Following the core value “Spirit to Serve,” Marriott International Hotels in Vietnam and Cambodia are dedicated to support Operation Smile, a non-profit organisation that provides reconstructive surgery for the underprivileged children with cleft lips or palates.

The collaboration will raise funds and build awareness of Operation Smile’s mission to save lives and heal smiles by providing life-saving surgeries for children and young adults worldwide who were born with cleft lips, cleft palates, and other facial deformities.

For more than 28 years in Vietnam, Operation Smile has contributed in changing the lives of more than 41,000 children.

The 45-minute $350 operation will help each child to learn to speak, attend school, and have access to meals.

In 2018, JW Marriott Hanoi and Sheraton Hotel Hanoi joined “Operation Smile” in order to bring a brighter future to those in need.

The partnership will include a cause-related-marketing initiative, local fund-raising activities, and more. A donation envelop in each guest room together with donation boxes encourage guests to donate their unused local currency to raise funds for this campaign. Hotels will also support “Smile Bags” which include: Shampoos, soap or body wash, combs, and wash cloths to children in need as well as join the Vietnam Operation Smile Team on their missions.
