Landy Wen’s face bloodied after stage accident

The singer-actress hit her cheek on a camera mounted on a jib on Sunday (Jan 18) while shooting a television show in China, and later got nine stitches.

TAIPEI: Taiwan singer-actress Landy Wen hit her cheek on a camera mounted on a jib on Sunday (Jan 18), while shooting an episode of the Chinese version of Dancing with the Stars, a televised dance competition involving celebrity participants, reported Taiwan media.

Wen only left the stage after she completed her dance performance, and later fainted backstage.

The singer, whose face was bloody after the accident, was subsequently sent to hospital for treatment and received nine stitches for a cut on her left cheek.

Wen told reporters who greeted her at the airport upon her return to Taiwan from China on Monday (Jan 19) that she is not worried about scarring and said “this is a mark of courage”.

The show’s artistic director has since advised the celebrity participants of the dance competition to avoid taking any risks during their performances.
