KPMG in Cambodia announces leadership changes

International advisory firm, KPMG, today announced changes to the leadership team in its Phnom Penh office.

The firm’s senior partner, Craig McDonald has accepted a role at KPMG’s Global Service Centre in Montvale, New Jersey, commencing in October.

Michael Gordon, Tax and Corporate Services partner of KPMG in Cambodia, has been appointed as the new office senior partner. 

 “Craig has made an outstanding contribution to KPMG. His appointment to this global role is a huge opportunity for him and a great reflection of the work he has done with us in Vietnam and Cambodia. I’d like to thank him for his efforts and commitment to KPMG in Cambodia and wish him all the best for the future,” Warrick Cleine, CEO of KPMG in Vietnam and Cambodia said.

“I am delighted to have been able to appoint Michael Gordon as the new office senior partner. Michael has a long record of service with KPMG as a leader and a professional advisor. He has a deep understanding of the Cambodian market, and an established reputation in the business community. I am confident that the Firm will continue to grow and prosper under Michael’s excellent, wise and committed leadership,” Cleine added.

Phnom Penh based audit partner, Nge Huy, will be joined by Taing Youkfong, who is being promoted to director, and Lim Chew Teng, presently an audit director in KPMG Vietnam will transfer to Phnom Penh.

Mona Tan will be promoted to director in the firm’s Tax and Corporate Services practice.

“The promotion of Mona and Fong to director is a landmark step in their professional careers with KPMG, and a further demonstration of our commitment to provide world class service with local knowledge and understanding in Phnom Penh. Chew Teng has a superb record of technical excellence, client service and business development, which will further enhance our Cambodian Audit practice,” said Cleine.

Along with the new appointments to the KPMG Cambodia executive team, KPMG’s Vietnam based audit partner, Auvarin Phor, will support the ongoing growth and success of KPMG in Cambodia in both a business development and client services capacity.

Our Cambodian team possesses outstanding leadership skills and broad industry expertise.
