Kid Star FC once again comes to triumph at Lotteria Challenge Cup

After nearly two months of tournament, the 2015 Lotteria Challenge Cup recently came to an end with the competitions of eight best junior football teams selected from six provinces and cities across the country.

Taking place from August 29, 2015, the 2015 Lotteria Challenge Cup brought together 64 teams across the country with a total prize value up to VND140 million ($6,500).

Kid Star FC from Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) had made it to the final round on October 10 and won the tournament convincingly, protecting their first place at “Lotteria Challenge Cup” for two years in a row. The champion received the prize of VND60 million ($2,750).

Also, there is a mini stadium constructed in their locality under the support of “Lotteria Challenge Cup” organising board, Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism and Vietnam Football Federation with the aims of inspiring the passion for football and nurturing the love and the pride in each young football player.

Huu Bang FC (Hanoi) came second with the prize of VND40 million ($1,835) in cash, whereas VND30 million ($1,375) and VND10 million ($460) were the prizes for the third and fourth place: Hung Dung FC (Vinh city) and Vo Thi Sau Primary School (HCMC).

In the last two months, 2015 Lotteria Challenge Cup has become a sport festival not only for young football players but also the people in six provinces and cities where the tournament takes place, with a number of interesting sideline activities such as lucky draws, taking photos, as well as many valuable presents such as televisions, bicycles, and microwaves.

“The 2015 Lotteria Challenge Cup has offered an educational playground for children not only to improve their physical strength but also to help them play football interestingly with their friends at the same age, and same interest. This will be an educational playground for children to challenge their passion for football right from when they are young,” said Tran Duc Phan, deputy director general of the General Department of Sports and Physical Training

Witnessing the children's will to win, Lotteria promises to make every effort to encourage and support children in making their dreams come true.”
