K-pop band Block B to perform in HCMC in November

Well-known K-pop band Block B will travel to Ho Chi Minh City for a performance in the Ho Chi Minh City-Gyeongju World Culture Expo 2017 in November.

This is the fourth time the Block B has performed in Vietnam. In 2012, the band chose Ho Chi Minh City as an ideal place to produce a music video ‘Nillili Mambo’, which ranked number 10 on Billboard's World Albums Chart". The group took part in the 2015 “Music Bank” show in Hanoi.

The Ho Chi Minh City-Gyeongju World Culture Expo 2017co-hosted by two local governments, the organizing committee and the Vietnamese city government is scheduled to take place in Ho Chi Minh City on November 9-December 3.

A wide range of activities including film screenings, exhibitions, art performances and trade promotion programmes will also be planned to boost cross-cultural exchange between the two countries.

The Gyeongju World Expo, which began in 1998 and was put on by the North Gyeongsang provincial government and the Gyeongju city government, will be the third of its kind to be held overseas following ones in Angkor Wat, Cambodia, in 2006, and Istanbul, Turkey, in 2013.
