A fire broke out at Texhong Yinlong Technology Limited’s warehouse to escalate into an inferno raging between 2 AM and 14 PM today.

The fire started at a warehouse owned by Texhong Yinlong Technology Limited

At 2 AM today, on April 4, the fire spread along a thousand square metres in Hai Yen Industrial Park, in Mong Cai city of Quang Ninh province.

According to nearby workers, the fire broke out from a warehouse of Texhong Yinlong Technology Limited’s Factory No.4, which contains 4,000-5,000 tonnes of cotton and fabric materials and goods.

The fire spread swiftly, to engulf a thousand square metres

Five fire engines, three excavators, and a hundred firefighters were mobilised to put out the fire. China’s Guangxi province has sent six fire engines to support the fire fighting efforts.

While the fire has not been extinguished, it was brought under control by 14 PM. There are no reports of fatalities, but the damage to property seems extensive, although it has not been assessed yet.

Texhong Yinlong Technology Limited was established in May 2012 with the total investment of $300 million on an area of 53-hectare and employing 5,000 workers. It is a subsidiary of Hong Kong’s Texhong Textile Group.

In November 2014 Texhong Textile Group started to build Hai Ha Industrial Park’s first phase. The facility has already been put into operation. This is the largest foreign invested project in Quang Ninh with the total registered capital of $450 million and taking up an area of 660ha.
