HP advances office of the future with next-generation LaserJet portfolio

On June 15, HP Inc., the global leader in printing, launched its new HP LaserJet Enterprise 600 Series devices, with the industry’s most comprehensive security and enhanced productivity.

As the speed of business accelerates, efficient workgroups need smart solutions to stay ahead of the curve. The 600 Series multifunction printers (MFPs) combine exceptional performance and energy efficiency with professional quality documents right when people need them—all while helping to protect the network from ever increasing cyber-attacks. The new devices also include HP JetIntelligence cartridge technology built around a breakthrough in toner chemistry for added print quality protection.

“HP is reinventing the printing experience for customers and service professionals with transformative technologies that leverage HP’s innovation in security, industrial design and real-world performance,” said Koh Kong Meng, managing director for Southeast Asia of HP Inc. “From personal mono LaserJet printers up through HP’s largest and most full featured Enterprise Flow MFPs, our new 600 Series products complete the JetIntelligence portfolio with supplies that bring outstanding performance to businesses.”

The 600 Series is embedded with the most advanced security features available, designed to help reduce risk, thwart cyber-attacks and improve compliance. These devices contain the unique ability to self-heal, automatically triggering a reboot in the event of an attack or anomaly. Additional features include built-in encryption to protect data stored on the hard drive, secure erase to remove sensitive information safely and completely, and the ability to disable ports and protocols to help prevent unauthorised access.

On the same day, HP Inc. announced a strong line-up of next-generation A3 multifunction printers (MFPs) in Vietnam.  The 54 new SKUs include enterprise-class A3 MFPs that are designed to protect themselves in the face of growing cyber attacks on businesses.

According to IDC IT Security MatureScape report 2017, 95.6 per cent of organisations in ASEAN are operating with less-than-ideal IT security practices in place.

“We are living in a new world order with connected devices and evolving attacks that often hit us when we least expect them. By integrating security in every stage of product development, we are reinventing security from protection to resilience, delivering highly secure A3 MFPs into the market and making life better, safer for our customers in Southeast Asia,” said Meng.

The new A3 portfolio transforms today’s copier experience for customers and service professionals by offering a combination of advanced security features unmatched in the marketplace, affordable color via HP’s PageWide printing technology, and longer device uptime via HP’s Smart Device Services technology.

“HP sets out to reinvent the print experience by bringing the intelligence of IT into our next-generation A3 MFPs. With Smart Device Services, we are reducing service cost for partners and raising the bar in customer experience,”added Meng.

HP has signed and on-boarded more than 500 resellers worldwide. The new partners will leverage HP’s tools and infrastructure to provide a high-quality service experience. With the arrival of the A3 portfolio, partners now have new ways to grow revenue and margins in this $55 billion opportunity.
