Grant Thornton Vietnam, Nexia ACPA merger set for July

Two auditing and consulting firms, Grant Thornton Vietnam and Nexia ACPA, have entered an agreement to merge businesses from July 1, 2014.

“The merger is aimed at creating a bolstered service for our clients,” Grant Thornton Vietnam’s managing partner Kenneth Atkinson told VIR.

The combined firm will operate under the Grant Thornton (Vietnam) name and serve as a key member firm of the Grant Thornton global network, said Atkinson, who will be appointed executive chairman of the new firm. Meanwhile, ACPA’s managing partner Nguyen Chi Trung will become managing partner.

“We are excited about the advantages that the combined firm will bring to our valued clients. As a result of this merger, our clients will enjoy full access to 14 partners and over 220 professionals between our two offices in Vietnam. They will also benefit from a great breadth and depth of experience and knowledge held by our 38,500 experts across 120 countries around the world,” added Atkinson.
