German Minister to visit Vietnam

Economics and Technology Minister Dr Philipp Rösler will visit Vietnam and Thailand from September 17-21, according to the German embassy in Hanoi.

Rösler will be accompanied by several federal parliamentarians, Minister of State at the Foreign Office Cornelia Pieper, and representatives of 50 businesses.

While in Hanoi, the Vietnamese-born politician is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and other senior Government officials.

He will attend the Germany-Vietnam dialogue forum and deliver a speech at Hanoi University of Economics, highlighting opportunities of the social market economy.

The German minister will also visit HCM City, attend the Germany-Vietnam economic conference, and inaugurate the Germany-Vietnam exchange school and the Germany-Vietnam technology centre.
