Food and Hotel Vietnam 2017 returns for its 9th edition, serving as a networking platform for the industry to source and develop business.

According to BT Tee, general manager of SES Vietnam Exhibition Services, the Vietnamese tourism industry is set to grow in the foreseeable future as Vietnam continues to establish itself as a leading holiday destination in Southeast Asia.

In the period between 2010 and 2016, the average annual growth rate of international visitors to Vietnam was reported to be higher than during the 2006-2010 period. It is further predicted that the country expects to receive up to 17-20 million international and 82 million domestic visitors by 2020.

“At a time when the tourism and hospitality sectors continue to flourish, the biannual Food&HotelVietnam trade event provides a valuable sourcing opportunity of products and services catering for the food and hospitality industries,” Tee noted.

The 9th edition features a total of 614 exhibitors from 38 countries and regions, making it the largest and most comprehensive showcase of its kind in Indochina. An ever-expanding range of products and services are on display, ranging from the finest and most unique food ingredients to food services, kitchen and catering equipment, hotel amenities, and software solutions.

Trade visitors are delighted with the vast array of culinary products, such as Australian fresh beef, Belgian confectionery, flavourful Germany sausage, wine and spirits as well as Spanish seafood.

This event also highlights Korean food specialties with an impressive showcase of kimchi, ginseng, seaweed, and the well-known Korean spirits like rice wine, soju, fruit and herb wines.

It is reported that Korea is among the countries with the highest number of exhibitors – featuring a total of 51 exhibitors led by the Korean Agricultural Technology Centre.
