Five local and foreign bands join Saigon Int’l Music Week

HCMC-based Saigon Sound System will host the first Saigon International Music featuring music talent from Australia, the U.S., U.K and Vietnam from November 26 until December 4 at Cargo Bar in District 4.

UK band The Vaccines will come to Vietnam to kick off the music week on November 26. Their debut album, ‘What Did You Expect from The Vaccines?’ was the biggest selling debut by a UK artist in 2011 and has taken the band’s infectious brand of indie pop around the world. Their second album, Come of Age also reached No. 1 in the U.K in 2012 and helped sell out shows at London’s Alexandra Palace and 02 Arena.

Two local popular rock bands, Black Infinity & White Noiz, will open the second day of the music week on November 30. Especially, participants will enjoy free entrance to the program to support these music talents.

American rock band The Lemonheads will play their first-ever Vietnam show on December 2, supported by local punksters, The Secret Asians and James and the Van der Beeks. Fronted by the enigmatic Evan Dando, the band delivers charming pop songs and blissful psychedelia feeling to viewers.

Australian psychedelic/dance band Jagwar Ma has played sold-out shows around the world enthralling festival audiences and earning a reputation as one of the best live acts on the planet. This December 4, Jagwar Ma will be making their Vietnam debut at Cargo Bar as part of Saigon International Music Week.
