Emirates-invested tourism centre to open in Quang Ninh

The president of Emirates-based Nakheel Group unveiled on April 22 that construction of a US$550 million urban tourism centre in Quang Ninh province is on track to open late this year.
President Ali Rasjid Ahmad Lootah made the revelation during a working session with provincial leaders. He said the project – Ha Long Star – is being constructed on an area spanning 29ha and includes a five-star hotel, convention hall, commercial centre, luxury buildings and a food court.Lootah assured provincial leaders that the project is incorporating the most modern technological and architectural standards consistent with those used for similar projects in Dubai.

Once the Ha Long Star is fully operational it is destined to be a highlight of Ha Long City and offer the finest of tourism and hospitality services, Lootah stressed.

At the working session, Quang Ninh provincial Party’s Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Doc told Lootah that Quang Ninh has expended great effort to improve the investment environment and infrastructure and has mobilised all resources for the project.

He hoped that Lootah and the Nakheel Group consider Quang Ninh a prime investment destination and promised to create the best possible conditions for the company to operate effectively in the province.
