>> Diplomats and expats observe VIR’s 23rd year
>> VIR, a foundation stone of FDI in Vietnam

Dear valued readers,

Shoulder-to-shoulder we have done a great job. Over the last 23 years, since VIR first hit the presses in Vietnam’s just emerging media industry, the newspaper has strived to keep pace with and mirror the country’s reform and open-door process. We have endeavored to keep our readers updated with the country’s investment and business news throughout its moves to engage more broadly in global economic and political arenas. At the same time, VIR has functioned as an effective bridge between Vietnam’s policymakers and the business community, and society as well, working to expose the realities of national reform and international integration policies.

VIR has continuously pursued communication and co-operation with the business community through in-depth articles that deliver essential information about the political, economic, business and social sphere that is Vietnam. VIR’s readers, whoever they are – government officials, foreign diplomats, scholars, researchers and consultants, investors, businesspeople and others – can find information that helps in their different pursuits.

Given its successful performance in the past 23 years, VIR has won the credit and hailed from its audience, clearly reflected by the high appreciation from Vietnam’s leaders, top business executives and ordinary people. Such appreciation has given VIR’s managerial and editorial bodies an encouraging motivation to continue its course of serving our readers better.

Given its successful performance over the past 23 years, VIR has welcomed accolades from its readership and Vietnamese leaders. This appreciation has encouraged VIR’s managerial and editorial bodies in our venture to continue better serving our readers and government bodies, particularly the Ministry of Planning and Investment. We would like to take this opportunity to express our deep gratitude to all of you for your valuable support and we look forward to even closer co-operation in the coming time.

Respectfully, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan Editor-in-Chief
