Deputy Minister of Construction Bui Pham Khanh lauded Lotte Centre for their high-technology, safety management, and hygiene and environmental management during a visit to the Hanoi building site last week.

Khanh was joined by representatives from the Construction Activity Department, State Assessment of Construction Quality Inspection, Lotte Coralis Vietnam general director Lee Jong Kook, as well as contractors, engineers, and workers employed by the project.

During the visit, Khanh popped into a report on the site’s construction progress and enjoyed the panoramic view of the capital city from the top floor.

The Deputy Minister said Lotte Centre is a fusion of tradition and modernism and a symbol of friendly cooperation between Vietnam and Korea.

He encouraged the project’s workforce and contractors to continue their hard work to ensure the project’s success and said the centre is a bright spot on the horison for Hanoi real estate.

The project has been underway since 2009 and has seen more than 8 million safe working hours. It held a topping out ceremony in July and is now proceeding on the interior process, slated to finish in June next year.

Once completed, the building will host a Lotte Mart department store, Grade A offices, high-end serviced residences, a luxury hotel, an observation deck, and is likely to be a popular tourist attraction.
