T
he resort’s exterior design has
a French colonial style with a
sense of subtleness. Upon en-
tering the resort, you will be
greeted by a great openness of space,
where the cool sea breeze from the
ocean can cool you down.
When you check-in you will be
greeted by a friendly staff member who
will offer you a nice glass of ice cold
lemongrass drink and go over the re-
sort’s history and layout. This person
will then take you to your room and
introduce you the surrounding area.
The resort has 82 rooms and villas
that face toward the ocean and the
main pool area. There are four room
categories: Superior, Deluxe, Boutique
Deluxe, and Beach Villa.
The pool area is easily accessible
through your own glass doors in the
Boutique Deluxe and Beach Villa op-
tions. The pool is well maintained with
a life-guard who will also pass out tow-
els. There are lounge chairs around the
pool for those who enjoy catching the
sun. The perimeter is dotted with co-
conut trees which give the area some
cool shade from the glittering sun. The
whole area is very clean and well main-
tained. A few steps from the pool, to-
ward the ocean, is a stretch of white
sand beach that has numerous umbrel-
las and beach lounge chairs.
The resort has one main restaurant,
Le Cafe, which serves a buffet breakfast
and various meals during lunch and
dinner time. Its menu includes cuisines
from around the globe, and authentic
Vietnamese and Hoi An dishes which
utilize locally grown vegetables from
the Tra Que village. One can also re-
quest a private dinner, prepared by our
well-known chef, underneath the stars.
Due to its locations, most guests opt
for La Piscine restaurant by the pool for
lunch. It serves simple and light dishes.
The atmosphere at the resort is
very quiet and serene. Most guests are
Europeans and Americans. The rooms
are clean and have all the amenities
that most major high end resort have.
The resort is located only a five
minute taxi ride from Hoi An center.
From Boutique Hoi An Resort, it is very
easy to visit the famous craft villages
like Kim Bong (carpentry village); Thanh
Ha (pottery village); Ban Thach (mat vil-
lage); Phuoc Kieu (bronze village); and
the famous vegetable village of Tra Que.
Guests can also take a basket boat ride
through the Bay Mau mangrove forest.
The resort provides a shuttle bus
to and from Hoi An, but you can spend
most of your day at the resort, enjoying
the pool and catching some rays.
One great way to enjoy a day here is
to book in for a morning being pampered
by one of the therapists available at the
Spa. Then you can go to Hoi An in the
late afternoon when it is much cooler
and take a walk before dining at one of
the many good restaurants in the area.
After dinner, you can walk off those
calories by browsing the shopping
streets of Hoi An, where a wide range of
handmade craft items, antiques, paint-
ings, and silk products can be found.
After a few hours in town, head back to
the resort and pick a spot on the beach
to enjoy a refreshing drink and listen to
the musical notes of the waves as they
crash against the sandy beach of Cua
Dai. This is like a form of meditation to
wind down before bedtime.
