launched its adventure travel
department dubbed Adven-
tureVietnam.com.
The company has ap-
pointed a voluntourism vet-
eran, Xuan Truong, as head
of the new department.
Though popularly known
for its war history, Vietnam
has the perfect setting for
outdoor adventure, with
stunning hills, mountains,
valleys, rice paddies and de-
serted beaches.
Travellers can trek in
the mountains of Sapa, go
cycling on the Ho Chi Minh
trail or try rock climbing and
kayaking near the colonial hill
station of Dalat.
Luxury Travel is head-
quartered in Hanoi and has
offices around Indochina
and the USA, Australia, the
UK, Germany and Argentina.

Fortuna Hotel Hanoi
has announced its Double
Miles promotion, giving Vi-
etnam Airlines Golden Lo-
tus Plus (GLP) members the
opportunity to earn double
miles from June 1 to August
31. GLP members will earn
1000 miles for each qualify-
ing night at the hotel, to-
gether with other available
benefits, including a buffet
breakfast, complimentary
internet, welcome fruits
and more.
Mövenpick Hotels and
Resorts has announced the
appointment of Austral-
ian Anthony Quin as the
new general manager of
the Mövenpick Hotel Ha-
noi. Quin has spent the
last two years at the Hilton
Seychelles Resort & Spa.
Previously, he has worked
in Vietnam, Vanuatu, Fiji,
Canada, Dubai, Doha, New
Zealand and in his home
town of Melbourne, Aus-
tralia. Coinciding with
Quin’s arrival, the hotel is
offering special discounts
of up to 25 per cent as part
of the Summer Sunshine
promotion.
