An exhibition will
display paintings by Nem
(a.k.a Ha Dinh Chi), who
has been diagnosed with
autism. Nem faces difficul-
ties in self-expression and
communicates
through
words, actions and ges-
tures. But his gift for draw-
ing has allowed him to
capture the colourful and
diverse world through his
paintings since he was
aged two. The exhibition is
being held at KAI Art Cent-
er, 342 Nghi Tam, Hanoi,
until May 15.
Lost & Found
In the exhibition, visi-
tors will enter living spaces
tucked away in alleys, en-
joy art installations that ex-
pose Hanoi’s natural world,
study the architecture that
has developed over the
centuries, and the graphic
design that has become an
integral part of the urban
landscape, watch people
who are savouring a side-
walk meal, rushing off to
work in a wild river of traf-
fic, working at jobs that
have existed forever and at
new occupations that will
change the city. Exhibition
is held at Goethe Institute,
56-58 Nguyen Thai Hoc
street, Hanoi, till May 18.
Smiling Poland
For the first time
smiles from Poland are
brought to Vietnam in the
“Smiling Poland” exhibi-
tion organised by the Pol-
ish Embassy at the Exhibi-
tion Hall, 16 Ngo Quyen,
from May 2-8 to celebrate
the 10th Anniversary of
Poland’s accession to the
EU. Free entry.
Dissonant Nation
A rock concert with
Dissonant Nation will
take place in French and
English at 8pm on May
31 at L’Espace, 24 Trang
Tien, Hanoi. Tickets are

“Au Vietnam: ça bouge!” by
French photographer Ré-
hahn features photographs
from a photo contest cap-
turing Vietnam during de-
velopment and is on dis-
play from 6 to 29 May 6-29
at L’Espace, 24 Trang Tien,
Hanoi.
Gabriel Bianco
A classical guitar recital
by French artist Gabriel Bi-
anco sees him bring great
sounds to audiences in Viet-
nam. Born in 1988, Gabriel
was awarded the “Classical
Revelation ADAMI” prize in
2011, marking a bright future
for the young artist. With a di-
verse and unique repertoire,
from Bach, Paganini to Tu-
rina and Villa-Lobos, he per-
forms with a powerful timbre
and warm tone. Gabriel will
play at 8pm on May 20 at
L’Espace, 24 Trang Tien, Ha-
noi. Tickets are VND120,000.
The Creation
An oratorio perfor-
mance entitled “THE CREA-
TION” by Austrian com-
poser Joseph Haydn and
artists from HBSO Choir and
Symphony Orchestra will
be held on May 8 and 9 at
the Ho Chi Minh City Opera
House, 7 Lam Son Square,
District 1, HCMC. Tickets

A solo exhibition of new
works by Nadège David com-
prises drawings and sculp-
tures that examine and ques-
tion the connection between
humans and animals. The
exhibition is being held at
Galerie Quynh, Level 2, 151/3
Dong Khoi street, District 1,
HCMC, from 8 May to 7 June.
