The 15th Norfolk Invita-
tional Golf Tournament was
held at the Vietnam Golf &
Country Club’s West Course
(District 9, HCMC). The tour-
nament attracted 120 inter-
national and local golfers,
including businesspeople and
partners and friends of the
Norfolk Group. After the tour-
nament a Dinner & Awards
Ceremony was held at the
Shang Palace Restaurant.
Along with live music and hu-
morous MCs, the lucky draw
stirred up the atmosphere
with fun and surprises.
The Norfolk Group
also handed VND500 mil-
lion over to representatives
from the Doanh Nhan Sai-
gon newspaper to support
the scholarship fund of the
Luong Van Can Awards.
This year’s tournament wit-
nessed a major surprise, as
golfer Thai Hien Luong hit
a “Hole-in-One” at the 12th
hole and received an Audi
A6 motor car for his efforts.
More than 100 employ-
ees from seven Accor ho-
tels in northern Vietnam,
including Sofitel Metropole
Legend, Sofitel Plaza Hanoi,
Pullman Hanoi, Hotel de
l’Opera Hanoi – a member
of the MGallery Collection,
Novotel Halong Bay, Club-
house Ciputra and Mercure
Hanoi La Gare Hanoi partici-
pated in the annual Planet
21 Day - a Corporate Social
Responsibility event held as
part of the Planet 21 sustain-
ability program organized by
Accor. Staff from all depart-
ments at these properties re-
painted dormitory walls and
beds for disabled and un-
derprivileged students, and
renovated the library and
donated books, uniforms,
clothes and other necessities
to the Hoa Sua vocational
training school. In the south,
Planet 21 Day was organized
with the participation of Ac-
cor hotels in Ho Chi Minh
City, including Novotel Sai-
gon Center, Sofitel, Pullman
Saigon and Ibis.
After nine weeks of
attending the Little Chef
and Petite Chef courses at
Pegasus International Uni-
Centre Danang, 24 Singa-
pore International School
students aged from 7 to
15 graduated on April 17
and April 23. These short-
courses are afterschool ac-
tivities that took place every
Wednesday,
introducing
cooking to the chefs and
helping to develop the chil-
dren’s cognitive, language,
and fine motor skills.

- Highwire and free-hang-
ing Zipline. Highwire is an
outdoor game composed
of several wooden panels
mounted on cables tied to
trees or concrete pillars. It
is considered a fun game
and is preferred by many
people of different ages.
Even children, as long as
they are taller than 110cm,
are able to play. Alba Thanh
Tan Resort has invested
more than $1.5 million in
upgrading its facilities and
the recreation areas around
the resort, with the ma-
jor shareholder being the
French Openasia group.
