What does ORFARM mean?
ORFARM stands for Organic Farm.
We established Vietnam’s first organic
food brand with the aim to offer direct
farm to customer organic food. All the
produce is planted and bred according
to Japanese standards in organic farms
around Hanoi.
How many products does ORFARM
offer now?
Currently we have only one show-
room in Hanoi, but we have a vari-
ety of products including organic pork,
chicken, eggs, vegetables and Orfarm’s
jambon, klobasa, salami, sausages and
bacon. Besides the main products, to
create more comfort for guests we also
offer imported fruits, pasta and spices
from prestige suppliers.
Have ORFARM products been issued
any international certificates?
This is a miserable and hard story.
For us to gain the organic food certifi-
cates issued by Japan’s EMRO trademark
Japanese experts flew to Vietnam many
times to research and test our produc-
tion process, from breeding to slaugh-
tering and from packing to freezing.
They have taken the samples to send
to Japan for testing before granting
ORFARM’s products official certificates.
What are the differences between or-
ganic and non-organic food?
Organic farms raise less pigs and
livestock and produce just enough ma-
nure to rejuvenate and fertilize the soil.
Also, because organic animals are fed
organic diets, their manure is pure and
free from any toxins. Organic animals
are not given any hormones, antibiotics
or growth stimulants. Instead, farmers
use a well-rounded diet of organic ma-
terials to promote growth and fight off
infection in their livestock.
Organic products do not produce
excess waste, use insecticides or other
harmful chemicals so they are naturally
are better for the body and the planet.
All ORFARM products are grown
and bred in accordance with the eco-
friendly technology of Japan’s EMRO
trademark - the EM technology™ (Effec-
tive Microorganism).
Why did you choose to invest in this
risky field of business?
In Vietnam, food safety and hy-
giene are still major problems. Custom-
ers cannot tell the difference between
safe and unsafe food in the markets. It
seems that there is a lack of quality con-
trol. This situation puts heavy pressure
on us when producing and developing
this sensitive market share.
We decided to invest in produc-
ing and trading safe and hygienic food
because we wish to make lives better.
We chose self-contained organic farms
around Hanoi so we can manage out
stock from farm to customer. We can be
sure that our ORFARM products are the
most hygienic organic foods in Vietnam
now.
Have you got plans to open more
stores?
Currently we sell organic products
only at the 28T Tran Dang Ninh Street,
Cau Giay district, Hanoi. We plan to
extend our business to many more cor-
ners of Hanoi.
What campaigns are you running to
draw in customers?
We have many promotions. At pre-
