At VinKE visitors can also visit the
World of Chocolates, where over 200
types of first-class Belgium chocolate are
handcrafted. They can also get involved
in making their own chocolate products.
Another paradise for wholesome
child development is VinKC - a centre
of shopping, healthcare and education
consultancy for all children below the
age of 15 in Vietnam. Here, the kids can
visit Toy World, Sweet Land, Book City,
the Souvenir Zone or the Fashion Zone.
Through launching these two un-
derground shopping malls, Vingroup
has created a revolution in shopping
and entertainment in Vietnam. Before
their presence, trade centres were re-
garded as places where people go for
shopping plus food. Most trade cen-
tres in the country have struggled to
attract customers amid economic dif-
ficulties, whereas things are different
at Vingroup’s two underground mega-
malls which are often full of visitors,
thanks to their fresh one-stop shop-
ping model.
In the past, Hanoi’s entertainment
options were scattered at individual
sites such as West Lake water-park, en-
tertainment areas and cinemas at trade
centres, and small and medium size cu-
linary zones. Vincom Mega Malls have
introduced modern complexes with di-
versified activities from shopping and
food and beverage outlets, to rich en-
tertainment options.
Vincom Mega Mall Royal City, Asia’s
largest underground retail complex has
an all-in-one concept. It offers a full
range of tourism, shopping and rec-
reational services, where customers can
combine sightseeing, consumption, in-
teraction, social gatherings and, espe-
cially, family entertainment.
Vincom Mega Mall Royal City is not
only the largest shopping centre in the
country with over 600 shops, but also a
unique entertainment destination with
many of Vietnam’s largest recreational
facilities, including the indoor Vinpearl
Water Park Royal City, with a total area
of 24,000sqm which is open all year
round. Also on offer is the indoor ice
rink, with a total area of 3,000sqm
and a capacity of over 150 people per
session. This is the first international-
standard ice rink in Vietnam. Elsewhere,
World Games has numerous entertain-
ing games while KizCiti is the place for
children from 3 to 15 years old to be
taught life skills.
Both Vincom Mega Mall venues
were built on land that was previous-
ly used for industrial factories. Now,
the land is home to premium condo
complexes and underground shopping
malls. Through launching these venues,
Vingroup has radically changed the face
of Hanoi and its shopping and enter-
tainment industry.
