Ho Chi Minh City’s five-
star Hotel Equatorial has se-
cured the title of ‘The Best
Hotel Establishment of Vi-
etnam Culinary Challenge
2013’ after scooping a num-
ber of gold and silver medals
from the competition.
The challenge, part of
the Vietnam Food and Ho-
tel Exhibition last month,
saw outstanding chefs from
50 organisations around
the country competing in a
three-day series of cook-offs
to be eligible for the coveted
title of Grand Champion. The
judging panel was headed by
Otto Weibel, a highly respect-
ed, Singapore-based judge
approved by the World As-
sociation of Chefs Societies.
To celebrate its culinary
achievements, hotel Equa-
torial has launched a series
of award-winning menus.
They include the Gold Med-
al 4-course set menu, Gold
Medal dimsum menu, and
Gold Medal 4-course set
menu at Orientica Seafood
restaurant. A selection of
award-winning dishes are
also featured at Chit Chat
restaurant every evening for
the buffet dinner.

The world class spa
