Fascinating Laos
Annam Travel has intro-
duced an all new tour to
Laos, one of the region’s
must-visit countries. Vien-
tiene is a fascinating capital,
with a fusion of Lao, Thai,
Chinese, Vietnamese and
French influences. After a
short rest, an orientation
walk of the Lao Capital will
start the day with a stroll
around some of the city’s
key French colonial architec-
ture. The major sights of the
capital await tourists on day
two. These include Wat Si-
saket, with its thousands of
miniature Buddha statues,
and the former royal temple,
Wat Prakeo, which previous-
ly housed the famous Emer-
ald Buddha Image. Next, the
Morning Market is a great
place for browsing antiques,
handmade textiles and gifts.
After visiting the National
Museum, visitors will be
taken to the UNESCO World
Cultural Heritage City of Lu-
ang Prabang where they can
enjoy climbing to the top
of Mount Phousi, cruising
upstream on the Mekong
River, or visiting many other
charming destinations. The
tour price is VND8,000,000
per person for a group of
5-8 guests.
