Sheraton Hotel Hanoi
The Sheraton saw 10 per cent
growth in 2013. Under my initia-
tive, the Japanese market contrib-
uted quite well, both for rooms and
events. Sheraton Hanoi Hotel was
awarded top Luxury Wedding Des-
tination in 2013 by Luxury Hotel
Award and weddings grew strongly
under our new wedding strategy
and good reputation of quality of
food and service. We will celebrate
our 10 year anniversary with many
interesting programs for guests and
associates. In the upcoming Christ-
mas and New Year we will have
continuous promotions on food
and beverage from Christmas till
New Year. I am living alone apart
from my family in Japan. I need to
guard against loneliness, but will
find similar aged Japanese people
in Hanoi and will have a small party
in my house. I loved cooking for
them as last year.

manager of EIV International
The year 2013 saw remarkable
results gained when providing high
quality native English teachers for
more than 100 schools in Hanoi, Ho
Chi Minh City and other provinces,
including both local and international
kindergartens, primary schools, high
schools, colleges and universities. Be-
sides, we signed many contracts to
offer training courses for individuals,
corporates and organisations around
the country. Apart from providing
practical knowledge, our teachers ap-
ply the latest teaching methods to
make students easier and more con-
fident to touch the world education.
In 2014, we plan to expand our
operation to other provinces such as
Thai Nguyen, Haiphong, Can Tho and
Ben Tre. We continue to strengthen
more the activities and corperation
with current partners to contrib-
ute to the development of Vietnam
education and training as well as
to become the leading business in
providing high quality native English
teachers in Vietnam.

Of course the economy affect-
ed many people this year. I think
it doesn’t affect the salary much
but how many people employers
hire. A very special thing for me
this year is that I got married. Actu-
ally I knew nothing about Vietnam
before I came to the country when
my cousin asked me to help him.
Then I met my wife and I decided
to stay here. I love Vietnam and my
wife’s family.
