the way to Do Son beach in Haiphong
City, Song He restaurant offers a per-
fect view of the northern countryside.
With a wooden tiled main building, the
restaurant also boasts a luxurious gar-
den in which to watch the river in a cool,
relaxing setting.
Alongside the restaurant’s main
building are smaller houses designed to
accommodate small groups of friends
or families. For a big event or party, the
ideal choice is one of the stilt houses in
the middle of the garden. The restau-
rant also offers VIP rooms with splendid

16 family size rooms, 10 VIP rooms and
3 grand size halls, each with around
300 seats each.
The restaurant serves all day, from
breakfast to dinner with set menus, a la
cart or buffet orders. It can arrange big
feasts for corporates and cosy dinners
for family, friends or romantic couples.
The menu is diverse, with hun-
dreds of Vietnamese specialties; es-
pecially delicious are the Haiphong
specialties, such as
banh da cua
(crab
with brown rice noodles), fresh, salted
snails and the
ca nhech
salad. Besides
the Vietnamese menu, the restaurant
also offers international dishes in-
cluding spaghetti, Japanese tempura
and sushi, Thai pork salad and Korean
mixed rice.
Additionally, you should not miss
the special seafood menu, with the
freshest prawns, shrimps, squid, fish
and crab. The
nhech
salad rolls contain
fresh herbs and vegetables and are best
enjoyed dipped in the special sweet-and-
sour sauce. Another treat is the sardine
dish served with steamed white rice.
Just 5km from Rao bridge, on the
way to Do Son beach, Song He res-
taurant offers a spacious car park and
meets all the demands of tourists and
local residents.
