The Tet celebration will
be held at BVIS Hanoi –
Vincom Village campus on
January 18, 2014. Aiming
at enhancing students’ un-
derstanding of Vietnamese
culture and traditions, the
event will feature a warm
and bustling Tet atmos-
phere through a special Tet
Market corner, a variety of
handicraft workshops, tra-
ditional games, costumes
and spectacular dragon
dance and water puppet
performances.
PARKROYAL Saigon has
recently received the cov-
eted award for Best Luxury
Airport Hotel in Vietnam
at the World Luxury Hotel
Awards. The award was pre-
sented at the 2013 World
Luxury Hotel Awards annual
Gala Ceremony in Phuket,
Thailand on November 1,
2013. The World Luxury Ho-
tel Awards is the pinnacle
of achievement for luxury
hotels worldwide. Winners
are judged on service deliv-
ery and effective manage-
ment by international tour
operators, travel agents
and hotel guests.
The Grand-Ho Tram Strip
is to introduce its new resi-
dent band, HB Wild, to Club
9. The six-person ensemble
that hails from all corners of
the globe is bringing world-
class entertainment to Viet-
nam’s first fully integrated
resort. Leading HB Wild is
bass player, singer, actor and
producer, Henri Brown (HB).
HB is cousin to the legend-
ary Jimi Hendrix and son of
Music Hall of Fame inductee
Eleanor Collins.
Jamming with HB is sing-
er Colette Neil from Scotland,
guitarist Ryan Carrol also
from Scotland, saxophonist
Shaun Thomas from Toronto,
drummer Josh Carlsen from
Vancouver, and Stan Gan-
apolsky on the keyboard. HB
Wild will be playing at Club 9
weekly Tuesday through Sun-
day nights

Mochi is made from soft,
sweet rice which is pounded
in a large wooden mortar by
two people.
