outique Hoi An Resort has a
distinctly French colonial style,
with elegance and delicate de-
tail throughout. With 82 rooms
and villas, each facing either the ocean
or the main pool, there is a room cat-
egory for every taste, ranging from Su-
perior to Beach Villa.
Those who opt for a Boutique Deluxe
or Pool Villa will have direct access to the
pool area via large French doors. There
are lounge chairs around the pool for
guests to enjoy their time catching a few
rays and topping up the tan. The edge
is dotted with swaying palms that offer
welcome shade from the afternoon sun.
Just a short walk away, brilliant
white sand leads down to the ocean.
On the beach there are plenty of um-
brellas and beach lounge chairs making
it the perfect place to delve into a book
and fully relax.
The resort’s signature restaurant,
Le Café, serves a buffet breakfast and
various meals during lunch and dinner
time. Its menu includes cuisines from
around the globe, and authentic Viet-
namese and Hoi An dishes which utilize
locally grown vegetables from the Tra
Que village. One can request a private
dinner prepared by a well-known chef
under the stars. The second dining op-
tion, La Piscine, is next to the pool and
is a great place for a simple, light al
fresco lunch.
Just five minutes by taxi from
from Hoi An’s center, it is also easy
to visit famous craft villages like Kim
Bong (for carpentry), Thanh Ha (for
pottery) or Ban Thach (for mats). The
famous Tra Que vegetable village is
also nearby. Boat rides are on offer
which take you through the Bay Mau
mangrove forest.
It’s easy to pass a whole day at the
resort, enjoying the pool and catch-
ing some sun. You can also enjoy be-
ing pampered by one of the therapists
available at the spa. The late afternoon
is the ideal time to head to Hoi An.
In the cool, breezy hours approaching
dusk take a walk along the river front
and dine at one of the many good
restaurants in the area. After dinner,
walk off the calories by browsing the
shos selling a wide range of handmade
craft items, antiques, paintings, and
silk products.
After a few hours in town, head
back to the resort and pick a spot on
the beach to enjoy a refreshing drink
and listen to the waves as they crash
on the shore.
Boutique Hoi An Resort is a great
little resort - you will not find any better
place to stay anywhere in Vietnam.
