This was announced by the representative of WHA Hemaraj Nghe An JSC at the working session with the leaders of the Nghe An People’s Committee, according to Baonghean.vn.

According to the representative of the investor, to date, the province handed over 129 hectares land to WHA Hemaraj Nghe An. The environmental impact assessment is expected to be approved in July. The investor arranged machinery and equipment on the site in order to start the construction in early July.

The representative of the investor also added that two sub-investors affirmed to invest in the IP, taking up a total area of 8 hectares.

Previously, on March 10, WHA Hemaraj Nghe An organised the ground-breaking ceremony for the first phase of the project after missing the expected schedule for numerous times.

Covering an area of 3,200 hectares with the investment capital of neary $1 billion, the IP is expected to create a breakthrough in attracting investment to develop the province.

The first phase of the project has an investment of $92.2 million and an area of 498 hectares, aiming to build synchronous and modern infrastructure and prepare empty land to attract investors from inside and outside of the country.

Covering an area of 3,200 hectares with the investment capital of VND22 trillion (nearly $1 billion), the IP is expected to create a breakthrough in attracting investment to the province. The construction will be divided into seven phases that will be constructed by 2028.

Once operational, WHA Hermaraj-Nghe An will supply investors with infrastructure meeting international standards, similar to the facilities the group previously installed in nine IPs in Thailand.

Besides, the industrial zone is expected to create more jobs and improve incomes for locals, and help shift the local economic structure and increase the proportion of industrial production in Nghe An.

Initiated in 2003 by a group of forward-thinking entrepreneurs involved in industrial property development, WHA Corporation has become a leading player in logistics, industrial estates, utilities, and power and digital services both in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
