In line with the unprecedented development of technology, Chinaplas, Asia’s No.1 plastics and rubber trade fair is evolving from a business platform for materials and equipment purchase to an international showcase of high-technology.

Chinaplas 2018 is expected to reach a new scale again, reaching 340,000 square metre exhibition area, an expansion of 100,000sq.m compared to the last edition held in Shanghai. The show will welcome 4,000 exhibitors from 40 countries and regions.

To offer visitors an ever-stronger and comprehensive exhibitor profile, there will be a “Young Tech Hall,” “3D Technology Zone,” and “Thermoplastic Elastomers & Rubber Zone” at Chinaplas for the first time.

Young Tech Hall

“Young Tech Hall is introduced to help visitors locate exhibitors and products by further segmentation,” explained Ada Leung, general manager of Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd. “New Chinaplas exhibitors can seize the opportunity to strategically market their brands and new products to Shanghai, while Chinaplas can draw in advanced technologies.”

The Young Tech Hall, which will house over 350 new exhibitors on an exhibition area of 20,000sq.m, is a comprehensive exhibition hall. The new hall will present additive, colour pigments and masterbatch, testing equipment, die and molds, extrusion machinery, injection molding machinery, smart manufacturing technology, plastic packaging, and film technology.

3D Technology Zone

On top of the Young Tech Hall, “3D Technology Zone” and “Thermoplastic Elastomers & Rubber Zone” are two more new theme zones debuting this year.

Customisation and small-batch production are gaining momentum nowadays. High-end manufacturing, like aerospace, automotive, medical and consumer products, is in urgent need for 3D printing solutions to expedite development cycle and reduce R&D costs.

Confirmed exhibitors include Autodesk, ZWCAD, Hong Cheng, Hanbang 3D, dMac, and more. Some world leaders will also make a global launch at Chinaplas.
