Chief legislator’s busy activities in Massachusetts

The NA Chairman firstly met with Massachusetts Senate President Stanley Rosenberg seeking to boost cooperation between Massachusetts and Vietnamese provinces and cities, especially in the areas of economics, finance, education and training.

Mr. Hung emphasized that the visit would help cement and deepen the bilateral ties in general and legislative cooperation in particular in a more practical and efficient manner.

The top legislator proposed Mr. Stanley Rosenberg support overseas Vietnamese and students in socializing efforts as well as the establishment of the Fulbright University and educational and scientific research between the two sides.

For his part, Senate President Stanley Rosenberg underlined that Massachusetts stands ready to shake hands with Viet Nam in economics, trade and investment. He also promised to create favorable ways for Vietnamese and Massachusetts enterprises to seek investment opportunities.

During a meeting with President of the Massachusetts House of Representatives Robert Delco, Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung informed his host of the outcomes of the newly-ended 4th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in New York.

The two leaders exchanged measures to elevate the cooperation between Viet Nam and the U.S. to a new height, specifically in education, trade and investment.

While visiting the Harvard University on the same day, the top Vietnamese legislator expressed his admiration at the world-famous university, which trained a lot of global leaders, economists and billionaires.

Harvard University’s leaders, experts and researchers said that they were willing to share experience and support Viet Nam in policy making and economic management.

The NA Chairman also hoped that the Harvard University would increase scholarships for Vietnamese students and continue sharing experience in teaching and training with Vietnamese universities.
