“Vietnam Manufacturing Expo and Industrial Components and Subcontracting Vietnam was a great opportunity to help Hanoi’s supporting industries, and indeed to help Vietnam as a whole gain more opportunities from importers from Japan, Korea, ASEAN and other countries around the world. It also gave Vietnam’s enterprises access to machinery technology, advanced equipment, modern management levels and improved production management and trading,” said Do Thang Hai, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Atsusuke Kawada, chief representative of Japan External Trade Organisation’s Hanoi Office, said through these exhibitions, Japanese companies came to know more Vietnamese partners as well as more about Vietnamese industry.

Japan External Trade Organisation conducts thorough research and valuation for the publication of its annual 150-page booklet of the best Vietnamese manufacturers in supporting industries.

“In 5 to 10 years, big manufacturers such as Toyota or Honda, will be able to increase their procurement ratio and switch the supporting supplies to local companies,” said Kawada.

Given the success of the event this year, Reed Tradex announced it will hold “Vietnam Manufacturing Expo 2015”, focusing on machine tooling, technologies, automation for molds and dies, auto parts, and plastic packaging manufacturing.
