AkzoNobel Paints Vietnam, the market leader in decorative coatings in Vietnam, has refreshed its Dulux™ brand identity with a new look.

The look embodies its mission of “Adding Colour to People’s Lives” and educating people about the transformative power of colour.
The new brand identity is being rolled out worldwide, and Vietnam is one of the first countries to introduce the new identity. The new identity is also kicking-off in Canada, China, India and other countries in South East Asia. Other countries and regions will follow, with the new brand identity eventually being deployed in close to 50 key markets.

The new colourful look of the Dulux™ brand embodies an easily recognisable colourful “flourish” that stands out in shop racks and products packaging around the world.

Tex Gunning, member of the management board, said: “We are creating an iconic, truly global brand which will enable us to deliver a consistent identity around the world and to distinguish ourselves in the market.”

This step is a milestone in AkzoNobel’s endeavor to grow its consumer paint market share worldwide. The company’s decorative paints business currently generates an annual revenue of close to €5 billion ($7.2 billion). In addition, the AkzoNobel corporate logo will be introduced on all packaging.

Headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, AkzoNobel is the largest global paints and coatings company and a major producer of specialty chemicals. It has operations in more than 80 countries with 55,000 people around the world.
