AC Milan’s Japanese midfielder to teach Vietnamese children soccer

AC Milan’s attacking midfielder Keisuke Honda will host a free soccer training session for 50 Vietnamese children and 50 Japanese children in Ho Chi Minh City in early June, the organizer said Wednesday in a press release.

The “Soltilo Soccer School in Vietnam 2015” class given by Honda, a Japanese player of Serie A side AC Milan, will be held on June 2 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Thong Nhat Stadium at 30 Nguyen Kim Street, District 10.

Besides giving opportunities to Vietnamese kids to meet a soccer player from a famous club, the event is also aimed at showing children the importance of having a dream and how to make it come true.

There will be 100 children aged from 6 to 12 joining the class, of which 50 are Japanese children who reside in the city and the rest are Vietnamese elementary school students.

Apart from training activities by Honda, the event will also feature a lucky draw in which participants will have a chance to receive presents with Honda’s signature.

General spectators can watch the event for free from the spectator area.

Honda plays as an attacking midfielder at AC Milan, but he can equally play as a second striker or a deep-lying playmaker.
