What are your expectations for the Swing For The Kids charity golf tournament?

Firstly we would like to show our appreciation to the charity golf organising board who created this opportunity for Sun Group to join the meaningful event as a silver sponsor.

As owners of the world standard Ba Na Hills Golf Club, we understand that as well as being a king sport, golf is a bridge connecting kind hearts. Over the past 11 years we have heard about the impact that the VIR’ Swing For the Kids tournament has had on poor but excellent pupils and students across the country, while also helping to upgrade numerous training and education facilities in 40 cities and provinces nationwide. For these reasons, we highly appreciate this event.

In sponsoring the golf tournament, Sun Group does not have any special expectations. We only wish to contribute to enlarging the charity arm to help disadvantaged children achieve their dreams of studying further.

How do you evaluate the contribution the Swing For The Kids golf tournament makes to social communities and the promotion of education in the country in general?

Swing For The Kids is not merely a golf tournament for lovers of the sport, it is an ideal opportunity for golf players to experience something meaningful that the sport can bring.

The tournament can be seen as a special playground where both local and foreign businesses can join to contribute to making a great change to the lives of poor but academically excellent children.

The charity tournament is well invested as a professional social corporate responsibility event. It has a great impact on the local community, especially with the support it receives from leading groups of golf development in Vietnam.

In terms of education promotion in the country, the annual golf tournament has endeavoured to bring a brighter future for disadvantaged but enthusiastic students for more than a decade.

Well-known for its professional organisation, meaningful impact and wide influence on society, the VIR charity golf tournament Swing For The Kids is an important annual rendezvous for golfers and CSR businesses.

What is your philosophy when operating such a big group as Sun Group?

Supporting such social activities like the tournament has been one of Sun Group’s missions since we returned to Vietnam in 2017. We define our mission as finding potential but unexplored regions, changing them into attractive destinations with high quality tourism products, and in that way helping to change the local living conditions.

In each region Sun Group has made its mark in, more jobs have been created for local people, giving them opportunities to earn more, improve their living standards and to help their children to go to school for a brighter future. For us, that is the greatest significance of our business.
